Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking candidates to fill the role of Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assist with coordination and delivery of athletic training and sports medicine services for assigned student athletes; travel as needed with team to away contests; assist in the implementation of comprehensive injury prevention and performance enhancement programs for Intercollegiate Athletics; maintain proper medical records in accordance with all governmental guidelines; assist with maintaining athletic training facility and inventory of supplies and equipment. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree is preferred. Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing and eligible for Athletic Trainer Licensure within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding. This is an 83.3% full-time equivalency (FTE) job. Months worked are typically August through May although some positions are July through April. Full Penn State benefits included.
