PA WEST SOCCER ASSOCIATION, is seeking qualified applicant for the above named position.
In collaboration with PA West Technical Director:
Administer and manage the PA West Coaching Education Program - Grassroots Courses.
Select, train, mentor, and manage staff coaching instructors in support of curriculum for US Soccer GR coaching courses.
Review, update and develop state coaching courses to meet the needs of programs within the state association consistent with the philosophies and intent of US Soccer and US Youth Soccer.
Develop a 12 month and 24 month coach development plan that includes the number and type of anticipated coaching clinics and other development opportunities for PA West coaches.
Promote and manage TOPSoccer, PA West Programs such as Pre-ODP, Cops, Kids, and Soccer, as well as District Academy programs - DAP.
Design and implement a parent education program that would include parent meetings, parent handbooks, handouts and occasional seminars.
Develop and implement coaching workshops, seminars, and other educational programs for the benefit of PA West Soccer members, clubs and leagues.
Promote and manage the PA West Soccer Camps, ODP Program, and Mountain District ODP.
Observe and evaluate State ODP Coaching Staff as they conduct tryouts, train and coach their respective State team. A minimum of one written evaluation per approved ODP Coach per year is required.
Promote and manage PA West ODP camps, sub-regional camps, regional camps, and PA West International events and trips.
Conduct bi-annual instructional and ODP Staff meetings.

PA West Soccer Association offers in-house programs for U5 to U19 and travel programs for U10 to U19. The Classic Division is offered for U12 to U19 players seeking a higher level of play. TOPSoccer offers soccer programs designed for children with disabilities. PA West State Olympic Teams identify players for regional and national team consideration. Amateur leagues are available for the adult player and adult Amateur Select teams provide opportunities for regional and national tournament play.
