Position Summary: The Graduate Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will help assist in daily operations of the Basketball program. This is a 10 month, part-time position at Arkansas Tech University. The Graduate Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will receive a monthly stipend (money) and a tuition and fees for up to 6-9 credit hours per semester. The GA is responsible for living expenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Academic monitoring of student athletes Recruitment and development of student athletes Community relations both in and outside the university Responsible for all aspects with the guidelines set forth by Arkansas Tech University, the Great American Conference, and the NCAA Participation in fund-raising, operation of summer camps, community and alumni relations/cultivation expected Other duties as assigned by Head Coach Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the NCAA Division II rules and regulations Excellent oral and written communication skills Computer skills
Required Qualifications: B.A. or B.S.
Must be accepted into the Graduate School
Preferred Qualifications: Basketball coaching and/or playing experience
