1.Responsibility for monitoring recruiting, awards and playing and practice season to ensure compliance with the NCAA and conference rules. •Work with coaches and staff members to ensure that the policies and procedures of the University are followed; •Be a resource for questions on NCAA rules presented by coaches and staff members in these areas; •Oversee the Official Visit and Unofficial Visit process; and •Oversee Camps and Clinics; •Review brochures/advertisements •Monitor employment •Creating and adjusting policies and procedures as necessary to align with new rules and software programs as applicable
2.Coordinate a rules education program for coaches and staff members •Reviewing procedures for training staff members in those offices and keeping them current with athletics rules and interpretations. •Disseminating information on new NCAA or conference interpretations and legislation, and assisting in the development of new guidelines/procedures for incorporating changes.
3.Coordinate the University's policy and procedures for responding to rule violations. These duties include: •Investigating alleged violations. •Assisting the Deputy Director of Athletics in reporting violations. •Assisting the Deputy Director of Athletics in creating a semiannual report on rules violations for discussion with the Director of Athletics, faculty athletics representative, and the President to identify patterns and additional institutional responses where necessary.
4.Oversee the use of the University’s compliance software system. Engaging with coaches to ensure that the system is being utilized for all applicable monitoring functions
5.Assist with completing and submitting all NCAA, EADA and University reporting requirements
