•Oversees all aspects of the NCAA compliance program within the League. This includes serving as the League's primary compliance liaison with member institutions providing rules education, interpretations, violations, legislative reviews, and NCAA reporting (i.e. Student Opportunity Fund, Demographics, etc.)
•Processes secondary violations and medical hardship waivers as well as providing support for other institutional NCAA and League waivers.
•Oversees the National Letter of Intent and Coaches Certification Programs.
•Conducts all phases of compliance reviews of member institutions including campus site visits, report writing, and follow-up.
•Coordinates certification efforts under the new NCAA Institutional Performance Program, tracks member APR scores, and monitors institutional GPA's and financial aid numbers.
•Manage all national legislative and governance issues in relation to institutional impact for league members.
•Serves as the Summit League's liaison to the member serving on the NCAA Council.
•Serves as the Summit League's primary liaison to the FAR Committee.
•Serves as the Summit League's primary liaison to the SAAC Committee.
•Serves as the Summit League's primary liaison to the league's legislative committee and compliance coordinators.
•Coordinates strategic planning assignments for the League Office and its membership as assigned. Responsible for the development of the annual Strategic Planning Report for the Joint Council and President’s Council.
•Oversees the selection of League Academic Awards.
•Responsible for the League's Core Sport program including execution and follow-up of the Core Sport Affidavit.
•Responsible for all compliance paperwork and various NCAA reports.
•Assist in the maintenance and revision of the League's Constitution, Bylaws, Sport and Championship Regulations.
•Serves as ex officio member of the League's Joint Council and represents the League on NCAA Committees or at NCAA events, seminars, etc. when applicable.
•Coordinates the League's submission of NCAA committee nominees.
•Specific sport and championship responsibilities as assigned which could include championship administration and sport committee teleconference calls.
•Attends and helps administer the League's 16 team joint basketball championships.
•Administers and coordinates research and special projects as assigned.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
Expert knowledge of the NCAA Rules and Regulations pertaining to all aspects of a Division I Athletic Department and Conference Office.
Effectively communicate in oral and written form
Knowledge of NCAA software and internet programs including Compliance Assistant and LSDBI.
