This position serves as a member of the department’s senior leadership team and is responsible to lead and organize a comprehensive facilities and event operations unit. The Associate AD performs professional level work directing the activities of the athletic facilities and events unit, and provides a broad range of management, contract administration and services in the development and implementation of capital improvement projects.
-Bachelor’s degree. -Three years of relevant experience. -Supervisory experience. -Budget management experience. -Facility project management experience. -Effective communication skills, both written and oral. -Strong organizational skills including attention to detail. -Demonstrated customer service skills for internal and external customers. -Demonstrated ability to train and mentor staff. -Ability to work in an environment that has a high volume of events and often under stressful situations. -Must be able to multitask and effectively prioritize multiple tasks, requests and situations. -Must be dependable, flexible and willing to work additional hours during peak periods including weekends and holidays. -Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
