Richmond United is seeking a Full Time Staff Head Coach for the 2019-20 Academy season. As a Full Time Staff Head Coach, you will be assigned to Academy teams pending qualifications. The Staff Coach reports to the Academy Director and is responsible for the development of Richmond United players according to the Richmond United club and soccer philosophies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Design and execute daily training sessions (minimum of 4 training sessions per week per team) in accordance with Richmond United’s methodology and player development philosophy
Responsible for the management and coaching of players during Academy games in accordance with Richmond United's methodology and player development philosophy
Perform video analysis to improve individual and team performance
Create Individual Development Plans for players and offer support and feedback throughout season
Provide mid-year and end-of-year comprehensive player evaluation review to each player
Responsible for clear communication with the Richmond United Academy coaching staff, players and parents
Maintain club's Player Development System
Collaborate with and assist other staff members (Academy Director, Staff coaches, video analyst) in all areas of club development and program development
Attend, assist and support other Richmond United Academy teams and events as requested by Academy Director
Assist in the talent identification process for the Richmond United Academy program and within affiliated clubs
Required skills, experience and abilities
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
Minimum U.S. Soccer B License, U.S. Soccer A License or foreign equivalent preferred
Experience of working in a high performance soccer environment preferred
Additional expert knowledge in other areas of youth development preferred (for example Goalkeeping, Sports Performance, Video Analysis or Psychology)
Ability to work as part of a team in a high performance environment
Excellent leadership and communication skills
High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
Ability to consistently work evenings and weekends
