The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Division I) is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Event Management. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the athletic department facilities and event management, including (but not limited to):
Assisting with the daily management of the Jack Stephens Center (Basketball/Volleyball), Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex (Soccer/Track and Field), Gary Hogan Field (Baseball) and the Donaghey Athletic Center.
Along with other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Events, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with the university facilities department on the daily maintenance and fulfillment of work orders for all athletic facilities. The position will assist with game day operations, logistics and be responsible for all event set-up and teardown.
A bachelor’s degree in sports management, or a related field is required; 1-2 undergraduate semesters of athletic facilities management/administration experience preferred; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; proven strong work ethic and ability to work in a “team” environment; Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
