The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Performance / Performance Nutrition is responsible for assisting the full-time Athletic Performance coaching staff as well as the Performance Nutrition staff in the day to day operations of a Division I Athletic Performance Department. Anticipated Start Date: July 1st, 2019. *Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check performed by UCLA Athletics. Upon selection, UCLA Athletics will issue and require completion of Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) Mandatory Reporter training.
Athletic Performance: •Programming, collaborating with sport coaches / sports medicine, and implementing annual training plan for 2-3 Olympic sports (TBD) •Coaching various athletes during extra training sessions •Coaching additional teams for traveling coaches •Opening and closing of weight room •Data entry, statistical tracking and generating performance reports
Nutrition: •Function as an integral part in the delivery and education to coaches and players on performance nutrition fueling/recovery trends •Data entry, statistical tracking and generating performance nutrition reports •Assist with set-up of presentations and approval for social media posts •Oversight of the daily duties of the Recovery station adjacent to the Athletic Performance weight room •Assistance with receiving deliveries and daily performance nutrition department duties, as needed
Compensation: A Graduate Degree through California University of Pennsylvania (Books and Tuition) $1500 a month stipend.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or a degree in process in an exercise science or nutrition related field, CPR and First Aid certification, CSCS and or SCCC certification and a strong desire to pursue a Graduate Degree and career in collegiate strength and conditioning.
Additional Salary Information: A Graduate Degree through California University of Pennsylvania (Books and Tuition)
$1500 a month stipend.
