The Director of Ticket Sales will lead the daily operation of the Ticket Sales Unit with the goal of generating and increasing ticket revenue. This position will manage daily sales operations of Ticket Sales staff through outbound and inbound sales calls, visits to local organizations and businesses, and work with Golden Hurricane Sports Properties to leverage Corporate Partner relationships to enhance current and future ticket sales. This Director of Ticket Sales will partner with the Ticket Operations and Marketing Units to build a positive sales culture. The Director of Ticket Sales will report directly to the Associate Athletic Director of Revenue Generation and Fan Engagement.
Manages daily sales operations of ticket sales staff
Develops sales plans and strategies designed to increase attendance at all TU sporting events as well as ticket revenue
Collaborates with Ticket Operations and Marketing to develop forecasting reports and provide analysis and recommendations for external departments
Develops strategies to sell premium-seating to Football and Men’s Basketball
Sells full-seasons, partial plans, and various group ticket products of assigned sports
Develops strategies to enhance season ticket holder experience
Works with Ticket Operations staff and GHC staff to provide high levels of customer service for season ticket holders and University donors
Assigns ticket sales staff weekly and monthly sales goals
Attends promotional and community events to increase and drive sales
Establishes revenue targets, as well as minimum levels of sales activity
Maintains accurate records of all prospecting activities and sales in ticketing database
Provides assistance to build and grow database for TU Athletics with qualified prospects via industry best practices at games, events and through general prospecting
Oversees two (2) Account Executives and the Associate Director of Digital Sales and Analytics
Performs essential game day responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Bachelor’s degree; 3-4 years of relevant experience; strong analytical skills, as well as experience with ticketing and revenue reporting; ability to communicate effectively with the public in a friendly and professional manner; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently; ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays; database applications and basic computer skills, Excel, Outlook and Word software
Master’s degree; 3 years of ticket sales experience; previous ticketing software solutions experience or ticket operations experience with Paciolan
