Ransom Everglades School is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Aquatics. This full time staff position begins in June 2019. In addition to serving as the Head Age Group Coach and Assistant Director for Ransom Everglades Aquatics Club, this twelve month staff member will teach physical education classes and assist in the oversight and operation of The Ansin Aquatics Center and all aquatics programs. Additional duties supporting the school will depend on the experience of the successful candidate. Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree is preferred
Strong communication skills
5-7 years coaching experience (at least 3 years leading a top 11-12 age group)
Passion for working with students; ability to work with a variety of people
Flexibility of time necessary to make commitment to varying time needs of the position
Ability to work with different ages and ability levels
Experience with modern technological tools of the trade (Team Unify, scoring systems, video, social media, etc)
Satisfactory background check, to include criminal background and driving record check
Up to date USA Swimming credentials
Up to date or willing to obtain Lifeguard certification
Up to date or willing to obtain Lifeguard Instructor certification
Up to date or willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, AED certification
Physical Requirements include the ability to:
respond to water emergencies,
respond quickly to sounds,
move safely over wet, uneven terrain or in confined spaces,
see and respond to dangerous situations.
