The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Division I) is seeking an External Operations & Communications Graduate Assistant. The candidate will have the opportunity to play a vital role as a hybrid with the external operations and communications teams. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the program, including (but not limited to) all Little Rock Athletics game-day event set-up. Along with managing the production and operations for the baseball game-day events. Assisting with the marketing & promotions plans for all Little Rock Athletic programs. And responsible for the creation of graphics for all external marketing and promotions. This position will be the sport contact for the Little Rock Wrestling program, Swimming & Diving, and is responsible for graphics, notes, releases, match day, and other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations and the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.
Opportunity to gain experience in game–day management, communications, graphic design, marketing, sales and promotions, etc. A bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing, or a related field is required; 1-2 undergraduate semesters of collegiate sports marketing/administration experience preferred; strong written and verbal communication skills; Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5 p.m. Ability to work nights and weekends as well as some holidays.

Bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing, or a related field is required

Experience in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
Acceptance into UA Little Rock graduate school
Evidence of sound organizational skills
Ability to interact effectively with students, student-athletes, colleagues, and the public
Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics marketing, communications, promotions, special events
Interested in pursuing a career in collegiate athletics
