The University Of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Intern with Olympic Sports. The Summer-Fall internship will run from June-December 2019. Duties include assisting the full-time Athletic Performance coaching staff in all aspects of UCLA Athletic Performance program including but not limited to warm-ups, strength and speed training, conditioning, and athlete assessment. Upon selection, UCLA Athletics will issue and require completion of Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) Mandatory Reporter training.

Minimum requirements include, a bachelor’s degree or a degree in progress in an exercise science related field, CPR/AED certified, and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Effective August 1st, 2015, NCAA legislation mandates that only certified personnel can coach athletes unsupervised, therefore, CSCS or CSCCA certification is preferred.
A minimum time commitment of 40 hours per week is required. These positions are for VOLUNTEER coaches, compensation will not be provided including parking/transportation costs. Screening of applications has started and will continue until all positions are filled.
