The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coach (R96875). The Men’s Assistant Wrestling Coach is a twelve month position and will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the successful execution in planning, developing and administering all phases of the men’s wrestling program. UA Little Rock is a NCAA Division I school. All duties and responsibilities are governed by state, federal and university policy.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: assisting the head coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I Men’s Wrestling program, recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes and related travel, assisting head coach in practice and game preparation, overseeing academic progress toward degree and assist in budget preparation and administration. Candidates must have an understanding and working knowledge of NCAA rules, ability to work effectively with student-athletes, faculty, alumni, boosters and administrative staff. Candidates must have the ability to physically work out students in practice and warm them up for competition meets. Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills are essential.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one (1) year NCAA Division I coaching or participating experience in the wrestling discipline. Candidates should submit a letter of application, resume and professional references.
