Assists the head coach with all areas of managing the volleyball program including, but not limited to, coaching of volleyball student-athletes in any and all positions, scouting opponents, recruiting high-level prospective student-athletes, video editing, team travel planning, game management, managing and coaching camps, and supervising student managers
Performs administrative duties related to the women's volleyball program
Guides and mentors student-athletes throughout the academic year
Promotes Southeast Missouri State University and the athletics program through community involvement
Minimum two years of demonstrated successful volleyball coaching experience at the collegiate level or extensive playing and leadership experience at the collegiate level
Demonstrated ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically
Ability to demonstrate and teach advanced skills, knowledge, and strategies required for a high-level collegiate volleyball program
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations
Demonstrated ability to recruit qualified student-athletes
Ability to work evening and weekend hours including travel, both in-state and out-of-state, for purposes of evaluating and contacting recruits
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community and media
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
