Position Duties 1. Support and foster holistic development of student athletes. 2. Assist with the coordination of administrative duties related to team travel, game schedule, inventory and equipment. 3. Help with planning, execution and management of practice and games. 4. Assist with recruiting high character young men who would be a good fit for the men's soccer program. 5. Assume lead role with opponent scouting and film breakdown. 6. Help oversee team strength and conditioning program. 7. Assist head coach with budget planning and fundraising. 8. Must be attentive to detail, keep accurate records and possess an ability to work with a diverse constituency including but not limited to students, parents, coaches, faculty, staff administrators, prospective students, and other outside contacts. 9. Support and adhere to all institutional policies outlined in the Viterbo University employee handbook. 10. Follow all National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) rules and regulations. 11.Support, embrace and live the five core values of the NAIA’s “Champions of Character” initiative.
This is a part-time position with a compensation range of $5,000-$7,000. Hours and days worked will vary depending on the time of the year. The most intensive workload will occur during the Fall season. Attendance at all games and practices is expected. Time spent on campus in the office is flexible, and a portion of the administrative and organizational work can be done remotely. Pay is based on experience and time-commitment. Opportunity for extra compensation may be available through camps, clinics or individual lessons.
Soccer playing experience (college level preferred)
Goalkeeper coach and/or playing experience (preferred)
Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Organized, responsible and dependable
Have reliable transportation
Help foster and build a culture consistent with the views of the head coach
