Reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing/Fan Experience and athletics leadership to advance the department's marketing initiatives. Responsible for helping achieve departmental goals by coordinating and assisting efforts focusing on revenue, attendance, game atmosphere and branding. Directly responsible for all marketing and game day responsibilities for football and will oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns promoting all sports. Serve as department liaison for specific outreach initiatives.
Four years of experience in marketing, promotions and in-game promotion management
Supervisory experience; must be able to foster a participative supervisory style that utilizes leadership and teamwork to successfully guide the work of others
Experience building detailed game day scripts and timelines
Strong interpersonal, customer service, motivational and (verbal and written) communication skills; including the ability to speak before groups
Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels necessary
Must be creative, extremely detail oriented, and meticulous
Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively meet established deadlines in a timely manner
Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting athletics marketing, promotions and communications processes
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong familiarity with social media platforms for business/marketing purposes
Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule; including night and weekend work as it relates to athletic events
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Administration, Marketing, Communications, Management or related field
Marketing/Promotions or sales/advertising experience within a Division I or pro sports team
Experience with Showflo or TSE ScriptPRO
Knowledge of Purdue University
