Director of Coaching Job Opening Lightning Soccer Club is a premier youth soccer club serving over 60 towns in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. Located in the Connecticut Valley near Dartmouth College, Lightning Soccer offers competitive soccer players ages 3 -19 the chance to learn, train, and develop under the guidance of qualified coaches. Lightning travel teams compete in state and regional leagues including NH Soccer League and the New England Premiership. Several LSC teams have won the NH State Cup and have gone on to successfully compete at the Region 1 National Championships. Since its inception in 1983, Lightning SC has trained and developed dozens of soccer players who have moved on to play at the collegiate level and beyond. Many of these players started with Lightning SC when they were under 10 years old. Lightning SC is a non-profit organization with 501(c)3 tax-free status for donors and sponsors. Summary: Reporting to the LSC Managing Director, the Director of Coaching (DOC) will direct and supervise the Club coaching staff and is ultimately responsible for meeting the Club’s overall objectives relative to player and team development. The DOC runs the day to day coaching and training operations of LSC. The position assists the Managing Director with strategic planning, coach management/evaluation and team formation. The position is also responsible for creating and implementing the coach development and coach education aspects of the club and oversees the player development programs on the boys and the girl’s side.
