Responsible for dissemination of information pertaining to the promotion and performance of the athletic department and information reflecting the college which include but are not limited to the management and oversite of the athletic website and program media guides, newsletters, and social media. Additional responsibilities include to assist the Athletic Director with travel arrangements, event operations management, and supervision of athletic department personnel.
Position Status: Full-time based on 248 days; Application Deadline: February 18, 2019; Start Date: ASAP
Bachelor's degree in athletic administration, public relations, sports communication or related field. Master's degree preferred. Two to five years of public relations in collegiate athletics or similar or related experience.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectivelly communicate (orally and written) and obtain coperation as a means to etablis and expand informaton. Work Environment varies from day to day depending on games and other activities. Normally it will be in a climate-controlled building; but will be exposed to extreme weather conditions such as heat/cold, wind during sporting events; and will be required to travel.
