Reporting to the Director of Athletics, Intramurals & Recreation and the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities, the Head Coach for Men’s & Women’s Volleyball and Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for the guidance of the men’s and women’s volleyball programs, which include practice and gameplay during traditional and non-traditional seasons as well as facility supervision during evening hours of operation at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Administration, supervision, management, and staff selection for the men’s and women’s volleyball teams. - Implementation of programs in the areas of scheduling, scouting, strategy, recruitment, conditioning and player development to enhance athletic performance and achievement, coupled with a keen focus on academic excellence. - Responsibilities to also include team fund-raising initiatives and programming. - Supervision of facility support staff during business hours, to include opening and closing of facility, equipment set-up and break-downs, monitoring facility schedule and corresponding staffing needs, daily customer service, etc..
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred qualifications include: - Three years of collegiate or high school volleyball coaching or playing experience. - Facility management experience highly desired. - CPR/AED certification is highly desired (or must be completed within three months of hire). - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary. - Experience in training and management of staff preferred. - Valid Driver's License.
