Reporting to the Director of Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation, the Men’s Basketball Head Coach / Camp and Clinic Coordinator will be responsible for the guidance of the men’s basketball program, which includes practice and gameplay during traditional and non-traditional seasons as well as coordination of the athletic department’s camps and clinics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administration, supervision, management, and staff selection for the men’s basketball program - Implementation of programs in the areas of scouting, strategy, recruitment, conditioning and player development to enhance athletic performance and achievement, coupled with a keen focus on academic excellence. - Responsibilities to also include team fund-raising initiatives and programming. - As the Camp and Clinic Coordinator, manages the daily operation of all athletic camps and clinics with responsibilities including the scheduling, advertising, communicating, and administering of the operation to meet department objectives. - Responsible for various organizational tasks associated with operating and athletic camp program, including but not limited to, the planning of individual camps/clinics. - Managing participant databases, coordinating with individual sport coaches, and managing budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.
Preferred qualifications include: - Four years of collegiate or high school basketball coaching experience. - Prior experience coordinating camps/clinics (non-coaching) highly desired. - CPR/AED certification is highly desired (or must be completed within three months of hire). - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary. - Experience in training and management of staff preferred. - Valid Driver's License.
