The SUNY Geneseo Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation, a part of the Division of Student and Campus Life, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Athletic Director.
The responsibilities of this full-time, twelve-month position will include, but are not limited to:
Supervision of coaches, staff, student workers and student-athletes. Game day management and event execution. Organization and implementation of student-athlete educational programs and leadership development training. Work with Advancement Office to secure support for the intercollegiate athletics program. Compile statistical information for assessment, NCAA reports and grant submissions. Provides oversight and adherence to the compliance program, including rules and regulations of NCAA Division III, SUNYAC, and SUNY Geneseo policies.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of experience in intercollegiate athletics administration. Strong communication and organizational skills, a positive mindset, the ability to multi-task, and provide attention to detail. A commitment to the values of diversity and inclusivity. The ability and desire to work successfully within a team-oriented department. A commitment to the Division III philosophy of athletics and working knowledge of NCAA rules. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Some travel required.
