Oakland University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position in its Strength & Conditioning program. Under the supervision of the Director of Strength & Conditioning the successful candidate will develop and implement general and sport- specific strength training sessions. . The candidate must be certified in First Aid/ CPR and he/ she must have or be working toward their Strength & Conditioning certification (NSCA or CsCCA). Applicants must submit to a criminal background check, subject to review and approval by Oakland University. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: weight room supervision, development & implementation of speed and/ or conditioning training, facility & equipment maintenance, data collection, and other duties as assigned. Position is contingent upon acceptance into a graduate program at Oakland University and academic standing (must have a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA or higher). Candidates must apply and be accepted into a graduate program by April 15th, 2019. Must maintain full time status during the Fall and Spring semesters and hold a minimum 3.0 GPA throughout their selected graduate program to remain eligible.
