The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA) has an immediate full-time opening for the Director of Sports Technology. The position will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of various technology and information systems within NAAA, and in various venues. The Director will be responsible for the technology and information systems to achieve effective marketing, recruiting, and business operations for NAAA, which will include sports software systems (recruiting, timing, streaming, etc.), data management systems, display exhibits, accounting software systems, ticketing software systems, and various CRM systems. The Director will be tasked with implementing new systems when needed to ensure all stakeholders’ needs are being met. The Director prepares the annual IT budget and manages the purchase of software, workstations, displays, etc. The Director creates and maintains the lifecycle management system. The Director will work with the United States Naval Academy’s IT Department to ensure that security issues are addressed, software is compatible, etc.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. A minimum of three years of experience with increasing responsibilities in management and support of information systems and information technology; direct management of an enterprise IT operation and team is preferred. Significant experience within the IT Department of an NCAA Division I Athletic Department setting is desirable. Familiarity with Department of Defense IT policies and procedures is desirable as well, but not required.
