Purdue University - Fort Wayne, a Division 1 member of the Summit League and MIVA, is currently seeking candidates for a Graduate Assistantship in Strength and Conditioning. The graduate assistant position is a two year commitment (10 months per year) beginning August 2019 and will receive a stipend of roughly $1,500 per month for 10 months. Graduate assistant will pay a reduced tuition rate (roughly $1,000 per semester depending on class load).
Primary Responsibilities: 1.Program design, implementation, and supervision for assigned teams 2.Participation in personal and staff development initiatives as well as coordination and collaboration with Sports Medicine. 3.Assisting in the regular cleaning, maintenance, scheduling and operation of facility 4.Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: 1.Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field, 2.CPR/AED Certification, 3.First Aid Certification 4.NSCA (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (USAW), or CSCCa certification 5.Accepted into graduate school at Purdue University - Fort Wayne;
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Completion of at least one internship in the strength & conditioning field 2. Prior coaching experience in strength & conditioning
