The Student-Athlete Development Assistant will support the Student-Athlete Development staff with event management, facilitating workshops, assisting with all areas of programming and administrative assistance.
More specifically, the Student-Athlete Development Assistant will support the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Development-Employer Relations in the development and execution of all career development programs for student-athletes. In addition, the Student-Athlete Development Assistant will also play a major role in the execution of the personal development initiatives. Lastly, this position will also oversee monthly and annual reporting of departmental information and serve on the planning committee for the HOGSPY Awards show. This is a one year position, with the opportunity for a second-year renewal.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Completion of bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
At least two years of professional work experience, ideally in collegiate and/or professional athletics
Completion of master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience in the designing and facilitation of workshops
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Former collegiate student-athlete
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective communicating and connecting skills with diverse populations
Ability to be team oriented, self-motivated, and self-directed
Ability to work with all aspects of social media
Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines
Additional Salary Information: 30 hours per week (schedule may vary based on department needs)
