Hastings College is looking for a Graduate Assistant for Volleyball in 2019-20 starting 8/1/2019. Hastings College is an NAIA program competing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
The position will have responsibilities including but not limited to:
Recruitment of academically and athletically excellent student-athletes
Mentorship of student-athletes
Practice design and on-court instruction
Organization of team travel
Video breakdown and analysis - familiarity with DataVolley preferred
Game day management including scheduling of game day staff
Candidates should be able to demonstrate strengths in the following areas:
Desire to pursue the profession of coaching collegiate volleyball or teaching
Organizational abilities and experience
Leadership abilities and experience
Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Abilities and experience using Word, Excel, and Google Docs.
Positive and diligent work ethic
Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and a desire and ability to become accepted into our Masters of Teaching program in the fall of 2019. Additional Salary Information: Benefits and Compensation for the Graduate Assistant position include an annual stipend of $5,000, tuition remission in our Masters of Teaching program, new iPad and all required course text books included, and potential for free on-campus housing.
