Conference USA is seeking a qualified and energetic professional for the position of Director of Compliance and Student Services who wishes to work in and promote an environment that positively impacts student-athletes, coaches and administrators at all levels.
• Provide rules interpretations to member institutions. • Serve as the primary liaison to the C-USA Compliance Coordinators Committee. • Prepare teleconference and related educational materials. • Coordinate the processing of secondary violations. • Process waivers managed by the conference office. • Coordinate the administration of the NLI program. • Coordinate the processing of the SAOF/SAF funds. • Serve as liaison the C-USA Life Skills Coordinators. • Serve as a liaison to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). • Assist with student-athlete welfare initiatives. • Assist with conference governance process. • Assist with conference academic initiatives. • Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required, post-graduate degree preferred. Demonstrated experience and working knowledge in NCAA rules compliance, interpretations, waivers and other related NCAA processes. Strong organizational, communication, writing, planning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with individuals at all levels including coaches, student-athletes, athletic administrators and related constituency groups. Ideal candidate should thrive in a team environment and possess the ability to work effectively with considerable independent judgement. Understanding and skill in the use of technology preferred.
