Under general direction of the Head Wrestling Coach, assist with the responsibilities of the Division III Men's and WCWA Women's Wrestling programs in accordance and compliance with NCAA, WIAC, WCWA and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point policies and regulations. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching and instructing student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of the sport of wrestling. Additional responsibilities include: recruiting, fundraising, public relations, travel, equipment acquisitions, summer camps and clinics and other duties as assigned.
-Master’s degree from an accredited University
-Minimum two (2) years’ demonstrated experience instructing on the rules and fundamentals of the sport of wrestling
-Three (3) or more years of collegiate coaching experience
-Knowledge of WIAC, NCAA, & WCWA rules
-Experience working with student retention
-Demonstrated strong commitment to athletes as students
-Supporting students from diverse and multicultural backgrounds
- Alumni Relations
-Experience with Outdoor pursuits programs
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

This is a 9-month limited position, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Limited appointees serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority and are subject to Chapter UWS 15, Wisconsin Administrative Code, Wisconsin Statutes, Sections. 36.17, and UW System UPG #3. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additional summer appointments may be available.
