Part-Time 5-month position. Position is for March, April, August, September, and October. Practice schedule in non-traditional season and competition season is determined by the head coach.
The Head Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for managing all aspects of the program at the University of Maine at Machias. This includes, but is not limited to: • Coaching and training men’s soccer team for the duration of the playing season. The playing season is 19-weeks and includes the fall competitive season and spring non-traditional practice season. • Development of practice plan. • Recruiting and maintaining academically qualified and competitive student-athletes. • Develop and foster a culture of sportsmanship, unity, and community service. • Planning and arranging for travel to away contests: hotels, buses/vans, meals. • Maintain professional coaching environment. • Work with athletic department, administration, and community, to promote men’s soccer program. • Creating and maintaining study hall plans. • Monitor team conduct and enforce UMM Student-Athlete code of conduct. • Emphasize and support academic success of team members. • Fundraising. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director and Athletic Director.

Valid Driver's License
CPR, AED, and Standard First Aid Certification needs to be obtained within three (3) months of hire
Previous College Coaching Experience (minimum one year)

Additional Salary Information: $8,000 for the season ($1,600/mo for 5 months)
