Union College, a highly selective liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York is accepting applications for a full time, in season eight-month position of Head Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach. The Indoor and Outdoor Men’s and Women’s Track and Field program is a member of NCAA Division III, the Liberty League, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I.
Responsibilities include all head coaching aspects of the men’s and women’s track and field program including but not limited to: recruiting, training, student-athlete development, academic monitoring, budget management, fund raising, scheduling, rules and compliance.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree is strongly preferred. Evidence of at least three years successful track and field coaching experience required; demonstrated recruitment of quality student-athletes is preferred. Candidate must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, along with a philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards. Candidate must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
