The Department of Athletics invites applications for our Softball Head Coach beginning December 1, 2018. California State University, San Bernardino is a NCAA Division II member, competing in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The Softball program is currently one of the most competitive programs in the West Region. The university seeks a head coach to continue moving the program forward; achieving student-athlete success in competition, in the classroom and in their personal development.
The CCAA has been one of the nation's most successful intercollegiate athletic conferences since its establishment in 1938. CCAA members have won 153 NCAA Championships (102 men, 51 women) which is far and away the most of any Division II conference.
California State University, San Bernardino is located in San Bernardino in the Inland Empire, 60 miles east of Los Angeles. CSUSB offers programs through the colleges of Arts and Letters, Business and Public Administration, Education, Natural Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences and operates a satellite campus in Palm Desert located in Coachella Valley. CSUSB serves approximately 20,700 students and offers 47 undergraduate, 35 graduate and one doctoral degree as well as 13 programs with national accreditation.

Under the general supervision of the Athletics Director and the Senior Associate Athletics Director, the incumbent will direct all aspects of a highly competitive NCAA Division II softball program including but not limited to: coaching, recruiting, supporting student-athlete academic success, compliance with NCAA, conference and institutional regulations, retention of students, management of scholarship and operations budget, fundraising, organizing practice, and overseeing creation of competition schedule.
Bachelor's degree is required, master's degree preferred. Coaching experience at the collegiate level or higher.
