Reporting to the Video Production Manager, the Live Production Coordinator will work individually and as part of a team to ensure the production of high quality, compelling videos for Temple Athletics, with a particular emphasis on live production for in-venue video boards at Liacouras Center, McGonigle Hall, and Temple Sports Complex. The Live Production Coordinator will oversee live game production and serve as technical director for the video board shows at all applicable home events. Other duties as assigned.
•Assists in managing the setup and production of live streaming home athletic events for OwlSports.com, including the direction of student interns and graduate externs in those efforts.
•Shoots and edits video content for OwlsTV, including highlight/interview packages, behind-the-scenes features, student-athlete profiles, social media hype videos, television commercials, intro videos, and in-game marketing elements
•Creates motion graphics for use in video content
•Assists in the maintenance of all video equipment; recommending new video equipment as needed.
•Fulfills media, institution, and internal requests for footage
•Coordinates video archives for each sport.
•Assists with video production scheduling and reporting (as needed).
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree and at least one year of directly related experience in sports video production at the collegiate level or in the television or other mass communication mediums. Experience of production operations and equipment.
Two (2) years of experience.
Ability to shoot and edit original video content within the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to set up and execute a live multi-camera production for in-venue video boards and/or live streaming, including a demonstrated proficiency with Newtek Tricaster.
Proficiency operating NewTek Tricaster.
Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Ability to demonstrate creativity in both shooting and editing, and produce innovative content without direct supervision.
Broad knowledge, high level of experience in and operation of audio, lighting, staging and video equipment.
Experience in a leadership role directing students and/or graduate externs in both live and non-live production practices.
Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer service.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with commitment to customer service and meeting deadlines.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
