The Athletic Department at Indiana Tech serves as an integral part of the university and is an important participant in its mission. Men’s Volleyball will be a new sport program for Indiana Tech with plans to compete in 2019-20. Effective start date would be December 1, 2018 or as negotiated with the successful candidate.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, develop and administer the men’s volleyball program
Prepare and effectively and responsibly administer the program budget
Formulate and administer team policies within shared philosophy in institution and department
Select, supervise and mentor assistant coaches for the program
Purchase needed equipment and supplies necessary for short term and long term objectives of program, maintain appropriate inventory
Prepare, maintain and schedule facilities for practices, games and meetings in collaboration with other coaches and physical plant staff
Maintain NAIA eligibility for all players and adhere to all WHAC and NAIA rules and regulations.
Publicize the program in collaboration with Sports Information Office and University Relations
Be available for secondary assignments within the department as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Provide a written evaluation of the program at the conclusion of each season
Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology.
Work is normally performed in a gymnasium or athletic field setting. Physical work is required.
