AYSO United is AYSO's official club program. Our club allows players to enjoy more advanced play, participate in intense competition and receive cutting -edge training while still enjoying the benefits of AYSO and its Six Philosophies. At AYSO United, we model our program under US Soccer's Zone 1 initiatives that fall directly under our "Development over Winning" approach.
AYSO United in the Santa Clarita Area of California is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead the United program. The Director of Coaching (DOC) will work alongside the AYSO United Club Administrator in delivering a high quality club experience to our AYSO Players and their families.
The AYSO United Director of Coaching position is responsible for the management and operations of the AYSO United club program. It is the responsibility of the DOC to deliver a quality club program which serves the interest of the greater AYSO community.
AYSO United DOC's are responsible for the following:
• Select a high level coaching staff which represents AYSO United both on and off the field. • Manage the coaching staff to deliver a high value customer experience. • Liaise with local regional board members to ensure a collaborative relationship with United and core. • Manage club budget to ensure the club is fiscally responsible. • Develop community outreach programs including coach mentoring, skills clinics and camps. • Manage the registration process and work with local league in ensuring AYSO United remains in good standing. • Promote and manage a tryout process. • Positively promote the AYSO menu of programs including core, extra, VIP and adult. • Submit payroll accurately and on time. • Deliver coaching education classes to local regions. • Provide a high level of customer service to both the players and families in the United program. • Communicate at a high level to all AYSO members, making sure United is a highly professional program. • Attend all national training events, expos and webinars (when required). • Submit field applications and permits to ensure club functionality. • Manage compliance of coaches to make sure each coach has the correct certifications and background checks.

United DOC’s must hold a USSF “C” License or higher, and have a deep background in youth sports.
United DOC’s will be required to attain AYSO Coach instructor status as well as strive to continue their coaching education.
Must be able to prove eligibility to work in United States upon hire.
