The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Athletic Department seeks an Assistant Softball Coach. The incumbent will assist with management of the daily operations of a highly competitive NCAA Division I intercollegiate softball program competing in the America East Conference. Specific duties include: support the head coach and other paid and volunteer assistant coaches in efforts to plan, recruit, coach, develop, implement, and administer the softball program to meet university and department objectives; teach one or two PE classes; and perform other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, the Division I mid-major ideal and the important role that intercollegiate athletics can play in higher education. The person must be dedicated to the athletic, academic, and personal development of the Retriever student-athletes. Note: A background check may be required.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position and includes a generous university benefits package.
