The Assistant Athletics Director, Communications oversees all media relations and social media platforms for FGCU’s NCAA Division I programs. Serves as the contact for local, regional, and national TV and radio contracts. Responsible for all athletic publications including, but not limited to, media guides, game programs, game notes, feature stories, and game caps ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of information.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Sports Management, Communication, Journalism, or related field. Four years of professional full-time athletics communications related experience in Division I intercollegiate athletics. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Sports Management, Communication, Journalism, or related field. Four years of full-time professional basketball communications or media related experience in NCAA Division I.
