The University of South Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. This is a full time, twelve-month position that will assist the Director of General Athletics Strength & Conditioning in all facets of a NCAA FBS Division I program. This position’s duties will include the development and implementation of a Sun Belt Conference Baseball Program. The position will oversee and coordinate the strength and conditioning program for other sports as assigned.
Responsibilities include program design, advanced training of student-athletes in sport specific performance enhancing workouts; educational resources on nutrition; and work with sports medicine staff regarding injuries and workout modifications for injured/rehab student-athletes; and other duties as assigned. This position will work directly with their assigned sports head coaches to communicate all aspects of the strength and conditioning program.
Applicants must have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with coaches, athletic trainers, student-athletes, and administrators.

Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama.
Minimum of two years’ experience in strength and conditioning at the intercollegiate level or equivalent.
Certification by either of the two NCAA recognized strength and conditioning certification organizations: NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC. (current & valid)
Knowledge of NCAA/Sun Belt Conference rules and guidelines
Experience with programming and developing annual training plans for men’s and women’s sport teams
Experience in Strength and Conditioning for Baseball
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Apple Computers
Intercollegiate baseball experience
