Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of the golf program, including: •Practice organization and implementation •Attending practices and competitions •Identifying and coordinating recruitment of prospective student-athletes •Abide by all written policies, procedures and guidelines of Purdue Northwest, the Department of Athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations. •Recruiting prospective student-athletes through phone and email •Assist in scouting, academic progress, and other day-to-day activities •Assisting managing web-based recruiting and compliance software •Data entry (must be proficient with Microsoft Office) •Mentoring student-athletes to be their very best in the classroom, golf course, and the community. •Other duties as assigned
Preferred start date is January 7, 2019
The candidate must have demonstrated success competing in golf at the collegiate level and strong interpersonal communication skills; as well as mature, respectful, professional engagement and demeanor with student-athletes and University personnel. The candidate must also be accepted and enrolled into an accredited graduate program at PNW.
