Description: Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Athletics department. This is a full-time position.
The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for providing expertise, guidance, and training in the areas of strength training and physical conditioning for all student-athletes and intercollegiate teams.
Duties: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinate sport specific programs that intensify the physical strength, speed and cardiovascular conditioning of all student-athletes. Assist with general operation and maintenance of the weight room while enforcing safety procedures. Work with sport specific coaches to develop and coordinate schedules of student-athletes. Communicate with athletic training staff regarding modifications for injured/rehabilitating student-athletes. Monitor the progress of student-athletes through written documentation and verifiable records regarding status. Communicate with department staff, coaches and medical staff as needed. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school. Five years experience at the professional or NCAA Division I or II level as a strength and conditioning coach. Experience working with football teams. Current NSCA Certification as Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). First Aid /CPR/AED certification (instructor preferred) Experience and ability to comply with NCAA rules and regulations.
