Job Description: Position: Full time, 10 month administrative position reporting to Director of Athletics and Recreation. Annual appointment runs from August 1-May 31.
Duties: The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting with organization and administration of all aspects of the Athletic Training program. Responsibilities include administering injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, disposition, and rehabilitation for student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletic programs; enforcing health care policies and procedures regarding medical insurance, physical examinations, and related activities for student-athletes; communicating with coaches, health care professionals, administrators, and student-athletes; and providing health care services specifically to designated sports and in general to all student-athletes. Additional administrative duties to be determined.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in athletic training, NYS certified or eligible; current 1st Aid, CPR, and AED certification required; NATA, BOC certification; Master's degree or experience in a collegiate athletic training environment is preferred but not required.
