The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Equipment Room Manager to support Men's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country, Women's Field Hockey, and other sports, as assigned.
The Assistant Equipment Room Manager position exists to provide a high level of program support to all assigned Intercollegiate Athletic Sports and to assist in achieving a nationally recognized program both on and off the field in a manner that meets all guidelines set by the University of Virginia, the ACC, and the NCAA. Responsibilities include: preparing computer generated requisition forms for all assigned sports; receiving, distributing, and retrieving all materials for staff and student-athletes; maintaining student-athletes' property records in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations; and maintaining a current inventory for all assigned sports. The incumbent will also assist the Director of Equipment Room Operations in determining individual sport equipment needs for budget meetings.

Required qualifications include: A high school diploma and some related Athletics equipment room experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include: A Bachelor's Degree and experience in equipment room operations for Men's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country, and Women's Field Hockey is preferred. Certified Equipment Manager by the Athletics Equipment Manager's Association also preferred.
Additional Salary Information: Starting salary is dependent upon qualifications.
