Frostburg State University Athletics Department invites applicants for the full-time, exempt position of Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Certification. Position will work on behalf of FSU Bobcat intercollegiate athletics to ensure institutional compliance with NCAA rules and regulations. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes University System of Maryland benefits package.

Frostburg State boasts 21 varsity sports (10 men/11 women). The Bobcats currently compete at the NCAA DIII level in Capital Athletic conference and New Jersey Athletic Conference. In 2019 Frostburg State intends to make application to NCAA Division II with the intent of joining the Mountain East Conference.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Athletics Director, develop, administer, and monitor the compliance system for maintaining institutional control for the FSU athletics program. This position will be responsible for the comprehensive administration of all athletic compliance functions to ensure compliance with NCAA and other league rules and regulations, as well as pertinent governmental regulations. Duties include, but are not limited to, monitoring recruiting activities, initial eligibility certification, continuing eligibility certification, financial aid administration, self-reporting, and rules education. The position will assist with completion of NCAA and conference reports. Other related duties as assigned. The successful candidate will support FSU athletics with an energetic and positive demeanor.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. At least 2 years of NCAA compliance experience. Strong work ethic and attentiveness to detail.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team. Ability to multi-task and keep projects on schedule. Computer skills to perform the duties of the position, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Other: Any combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and progressively responsible related work experience may be considered.
