The Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing appropriate health care for intercollegiate student-athletes under the general supervision of the Director of Student Health Services and the Director of Athletics. The Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for the development, administration and delivery of comprehensive athletic training services to the men's and women's athletic programs; this includes coverage of DJO Athletic Training room with some evening and weekend responsibilities as well as practice and competition coverage, working/coordinating camps and clinics and scheduling athletic trainer coverage for the department’s cheer and dance teams. The Head Athletic Trainer is also responsible for the clinical supervision of student athletic trainers within the DJO Training Room and may be involved with the prevention, recognition, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

Minimum Qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, physical education, kinesiology or related field • Three to four years of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer with some experience at the collegiate level, including at least one year in a lead capacity with responsibility for program administration required • National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) certification required • BOC certification required • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required • Ability to obtain valid California Driver’s License
Preferences • Master’s degree in a related field • Experience working with both male and female intercollegiate teams • Experience overseeing and/or implementing concussion management programs

Additional Salary Information: Salary Range: $4,547 – $8,519 per month
