Job Summary: A dynamic development professional who will raise funds through a variety of methods(annual fund, letterman’s association, major gifts, premium seat sales, etc.) for the Department of Athletics. Will be expected to manage various components of a comprehensive fundraising program. He/she must possess a high level of customer service skills. Job title and specific responsibilities commensurate with education and experience of the applicant pool.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Develop strategies to increase donor retention, donations from current donor base, and donor acquisition in all annual giving programs.
Identify and cultivate prospective donors and solicit those prospects for major gift fundraising in the areas of scholarship endowments, facility projects and other needs as determined by the Director of Athletics. Maintain and manage a portfolio of annual fund and major gift prospects and donors.
Assist with Annual Giving (Eagle Club) and development of the program plans.
Assist in the sales and customer service functions as they relate to ticket and premium seating programs.
Manage all aspects of the M-Club with regard to programming, membership solicitation and stewardship.
Effective management and record keeping of the donor and prospect database along with collaboration with the USM Foundation. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and one to two years related experience.
