The HR Generalist is responsible for providing recruiting and staffing services for full time, part time, seasonal, or temporary hires, as well as interns and volunteers, as it applies to location. Responsible for developing agency contacts and for recruiting process effectiveness. Coordinates and negotiates pricing for advertising. Reviews resumes, coordinates and conducts interviews, conducts pre-employment and other initial evaluations, coordinates competitive offers, and organizes the initial orientations.
Coordinates the logistics of new employee orientation for new hires, interns, and volunteers. Ensures all On-Boarding information is complete. Addresses inquiries, makes corrections, and provides guidance regarding On- and Off-Boarding systems and tools such as I-9 E Verify and other internal system. Coordinates and assists employees and leaders with Off-Boarding employees resigning or terminating. Accurately inputting personnel information into the benefits system, answering their questions on benefits, administering the annual enrollment process and throughout the year as needed.
Performs a variety of general personnel/clerical tasks in such areas as employee records. Updates and keep records of all transitions effecting pay and benefits. Maintain the HRIS system and other company systems in regards to on-boarding, off-boarding, new hires, status changes, pay changes, personnel actions, terminations, benefits, personal information changes/updates.
Administration for the Paid Time off polices and implementation within the payroll system. Responsible for coordinating with the security office, ID card office, and Visitor Control Center to gain background check, identification and local access for our employees. Coordinates with the Summer Camp office for input and payment of Seasonal Employees. Responsible for updating data and running payroll. Responsible for reconciling benefits billing for submission to the Financial Management Office. Assists in day-to-day efficiency operations.
Qualifications and Skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources • 2 years’ experience in HR • Human resources software • ADP Payroll • Microsoft Outlook
