GRADUATE ASSISTANT- GOLF COACH- Missouri Western State University, an NCAA Division II institution located in St. Joseph, MO, is seeking a Graduate Assistant Golf Coach. This position will assist the head coach in all areas relating to the operation of the Men’s and Women’s Golf program. Primary responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of the golf program, including: practice organization and implementation; attending practices and competitions; identifying and coordinating recruitment of prospective student-athletes; abide by all written policies, procedures and guidelines of Missouri Western State University, the Department of Athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations; assisting in scouting, academic progress, and other day-to-day activities; assisting managing web-based recruiting and compliance software; data entry (must be proficient with Microsoft Office); mentoring student-athletes to be their very best in the classroom, golf course, and the community; and other duties as assigned by the head coach. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, and employment is contingent on acceptance into MWSU Graduate School (2.75 GPA required for admission). PREFERRED: Previous experience as a golf coach and/or player is recommended. Candidate should be well organized, possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently of other coaching staff when necessary. This position begins in August and concludes in May and can be extended for a second year based on academic and administrative performance evaluation. A stipend of $5,000 (paid monthly over 10 months) and full graduate school tuition covering a maximum of 36 credit hours is provided.
