New York University is seeking assistant coaches for track and field. These are part-time positions working with both the men's and women's track and field programs coaching the field events.
Candidates must have coaching experience or a competitive playing background at the college/university level or significant coaching experience at the high school level. Excellent communication, organization, teaching, interpersonal and supervisory skills are essential in these roles. Understanding of and commitment to following NCAA Division III, University Athletic Association and NYU rules and policies is required.
We are seeking candidates who can coach one or more of the following event areas: Throws, Pole vault and Jumps.
The assistant coaches assist the head coach in all areas, including: Student-athlete development, practice and meet day coaching, training program design, recruiting correspondence and talent evaluation, team transportation/driving, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
The ideal candidate will have some familiarity with New York City and will have some expertise in coaching multiple event areas.
Vaid driver's license
CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain
