The University of South Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Manager, Football Video Production. This is a full time, twelve-month position that will assist the Head Football Coach with duties pertaining to oversight of all aspects of the video creation/production for a NCAA FBS Division I Football program.
Essential functions include directing, editing, and managing videos of practice, games, community service, and social events; edits every practice, and game by each unit of the football team, for coach's use in team meetings to develop game plans, and skill development; responsible for all financial aspects of the video department to include budget development/control, purchasing, receiving, payables, equipment inventory and security, long term equipment and budget planning; prepares, maintains and troubleshoots all video boards and video equipment, in team meeting rooms, and coaches' offices; prepares, maintains, and troubleshoots all laptops, iPads (or similar equipment) used by coaches; troubleshoots all matters related to video operations to limit amount of equipment down time; produces special video projects requested by Head Coach or Athletic Director; edits film of game opponents for scouting purposes; utilizes a variety of video and editing equipment and systems to include cameras, projections units, XOS video system, non-linear AAVID sports Pro Computer Edit System, Analog Video Edit System, Broadcast Quality Camera System, and Video Tape Dub System; continues to enhance skillset to operate all new hardware and software (ESPN 3 - quality); supervises student video assistants to include assigning duties and checking work; maintains knowledge of University of South Alabama, Sun Belt Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; attends sports events which will require working nights and weekends; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required; and related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, two years of experience in multi-media video production, which included graphic design and delivery in a collegiate sports setting, and possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama.
