UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Live Event Producer, Video Production.
Under the direction of the Associate A.D. for Multimedia / Creative, the selected candidate is heavily engaged in the day-to-day operational aspects of the UCFAA Digital Media Production Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Collaboration with Brand Advancement, Corporate Partnerships, Gameday Operations, UCF Marketing and external stakeholders in the planning and execution of in-game fan entertainment strategies; • Assist with the production, coordination, and execution of in-game programming and content for LED videoboards, web streaming, etc., to include loading, testing, and playback of all advertising assets in cooperation with the Corporate Partnership Team. As part of this function, selected candidate will be responsible for collecting Proof-of-Performance recordings and system logs to support the generation of affidavits for billing; • Actively participate as a member of the event multimedia production staff in the areas of cameras, technical direction, graphics and replay operations, audio engineering (including the stadium audio), etc.; • Develop LED videoboard content and features, to include stadium intro videos, in-game features, and feeds for commercial television entities (pool highlight feeds, press conference feeds, highlight melt distribution, etc.); • Actively participate in the production, coordination, and execution of live non-game event content for UCFAA, to include press conferences, Football Countdown to Kick-Off Luncheon, Football National NLI Signing Day, Basketball Tip-off Luncheon, NFL Pro Day (webstream), etc.; • Assist with the acquisition, logging, and cataloging of in-game media assets, in cooperation with the cinematic production team, to be utilized by UCFAA and licensed partners; • Assist cinematic production team in the fulfillment of footage requests from broadcast and external production partners; • Participate in the repurposing of pre-produced content and development of exclusive content for UCFAA websites and new media outlets; • Assist with the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair coordination of hardware assets and systems, including the Digital Media Center Control Room, the broadcast pre-wire plant, and LCD video board and support systems in Spectrum Stadium as well as other future UCFAA Athletics Facilities and systems; • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and management of event production personnel, including full-time, freelance, and student employees where appropriate.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Prefer a minimum of one year of hands-on experience/knowledge directing and producing compelling in-game, fan-oriented productions for delivery via in-venue LED videoboards, broadcast, and new media delivery channels, as well as demonstrated experience with professional and broadcast-level video acquisition and production tools (i.e. cameras, Ross Video Production switchers, Ross XPression CG' s, EditShare Energy Shared Storage and FLOW MAM, and editing systems). Preference will be given for experience with Ross Video Carbonite, XPression, and Dashboard. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with computer applications, with emphasis on generating motion graphics using Adobe After Effects also preferred. Due to the nature/scope of the position, selected candidate must be able to take high-level project direction and plan, execute, and deliver completed projects within time sensitive deadlines; be willing and able to travel / work remotely with non-traditional hours (nights and weekends); and able to lift and carry objects up to fifty pounds.
